On this page, you will find all the information to submit your application for the 2025/2026 academic year.
If you haven’t already done so, please read the information available on the Entry to Medicine and Dentistry webpage.
ENROLLING TO THE FILTER SEMESTER
The filter semester does not have a competitive admission procedure. For this reason, no call for applications will be published.
However, because the filter semester grants access to a nationally competitive course, you must submit two separate applications through UniTS: an application to the national competition for entry to the second semester and a separate enrolment application.
- Apply on the Universitaly portal from 23 June 2025, 10.00 (CET) to 25 July 2025, 17.00 (CET).
- Wait at least 15 minutes and then go to online Student Academic Services (Esse3) and log in. If you haven’t already obtained your UniTS credentials, you will need to register following the instructions available on the website. The easiest way to register is using an Italian public digital identity system (SPID – sistema pubblico di identità digitale).
- Submit your application for the national competition in online Student Academic Services (Esse3) from 2 July 2025, 10.00 (CET) to 28 July 2025, 13.00 (CET). The application to this competition will still appear under ‘filter semester’. If, when you log in to Esse3, you are not automatically directed to the ‘national competitions’ page (concorsi nazionali). You can navigate to this page as follows: Menu >> Home >> National competitions >> Enrol to filter semester.
- Wait at least 5 minutes and then submit your enrolment application for the filter semester from 2 July 2025 at 10:00 to 4 August 2025 at 13:00. To submit this application, go to: Menu >> Home >> Enrolment >> Standard enrolment >> Enrolment to courses will competitive admission >> Filter semester. Make sure you fill out all required details and upload any documents.*
- Pay the enrolment fee within the enrolment application deadline to complete your application to the filter semester. You can only pay this fee using the PagoPA platform. Instructions are available here.
By navigating to the link ‘Payments’ in Esse3, you can check the status of your payment. A green traffic light icon means your payment has been accepted. No other methods of payment are accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: Pay particular attention to your Italian TAX CODE.
The tax code must match across both platforms: Esse3 and Universitaly. You may have generated a tax code on Esse3 when you registered, or you may have a tax code already saved on Esse3 if you registered previously. You can check your tax code by logging into Esse3 and navigating to the following pages: Menu>>Home>>Personal details. If you find there is a mistake in the tax code you have saved in Esse3, you can correct this error quickly by sending an email with your correct tax code along with a scan of your ID document to: areavitasalute.ammissioni@amm.units.it.
*If you have the correct documentation to demonstrate that you have already attended the taught courses planned for the filter semester (chemistry and foundations in biochemistry, physics, and biology), you can upload these during the application procedure. Otherwise, you don’t need to upload anything.
