Classrooms and timetables
  • The lessons of the “open semester” will be held from 1 September to 30 November 2026. The University of Trieste ensures taht classrooms will have sufficient capacity to accomodate all students enrolled and grants the chance to follow the lessons online.
  • Classes are held place at the central campus in Piazzale Europa.
  • Class timetables are available on AgendaWeb and in the UniTS Orari app, which can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play. Be sure to check them regularly, as minor changes may occur during the semester.
  • Each course in the open semester is linked to a Microsoft Teams group. We recommend joining it as soon as possible by following the video tutorials and guidelines available on the Digital Teaching webpage.
Attendance
  • Attendance during the open semester is mandatory, unless you requested an exemption during enrolment in the Open Semester. You will only be allowed to sit the course examinations if you have attended at least 51% of the lessons in every course.
  • You can meet the attendance requirement in two ways:
    • In person: Physical attendance is strongly recommended for optimal skill development;
    • Online: By joining the lessons live via Microsoft Teams.
  • You are free to switch between the two attendance modes at your convenience.
  • To track your attendance, whether in person or online, use the OrariUniTS app. We recommend downloading the app immediately to ensure it is compatible with your smartphone or tablet.
Teaching material: recordings, textbooks and slides
  • Each lesson is recorded. The recordings are available in the Microsoft Teams group for the corresponding course. These recordings are intended solely as a support tool for study. They are not a substitute for attending lessons: watching the recordings DOES NOT count toward fulfilling the attendance requirement.
  • Lecturers will provide information about any recommended textbooks during the lessons.
  • Slides used during the lessons may also be shared at the lecturers’ discretion, strictly for individual study purposes.
