Non-competitive admission with initial proficiency assessment before enrolment

Curricular requirements
To enrol in this programme, you must have knowledge equivalent to the general educational objectives of degrees in the Industrial Engineering class (Class 10 of Ministerial Decree 509/1999 and Class L-9 of Ministerial Decree 270/2004).
To be admitted to the programme, you must therefore possess:
- A Bachelor's degree, a University diploma or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad;
- A minimum number of CFU obtained in specific Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) as follows:
- 30 CFU in the scientific-disciplinary sectors of the basic subjects MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, FIS/01, FIS/02, FIS/03, CHIM/03, CHIM/07
- 24 CFU in the scientific-disciplinary sectors ING-IND/16, ING-IND/21, ING-IND/22, ING-IND/23, ING-IND/24, ING-IND/25, ING-IND/26, ING-IND/27, ICAR/08
Language skills
You must prove written and oral English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- If you have yet to obtain the required qualification
You can request an assessment of your preparation even if you are a graduating student and expect to obtain your degree by the specified dates in deadlines section.
- Submission required for assessment: from April 20, 2026 to January 29, 2027
- Enrolment: by from April 20, 2026 to March 31, 2027 (non-negotiable deadline)
Assessment
A committee will assess whether you meet the entry requirements. The assessment takes place on the basis of the previous studies and possibly with an interview.
The adequacy of the level of knowledge of the English language (not lower than B2) can be ascertained on the basis of the presence of any certifications, or with an oral interview.
The assessment can have one of the following outcomes:
- Unconditional registration
- Registration conditional upon the acceptance of specific prescriptions
- Motivated non-acceptance, with the indication of the suggested methods for the acquisition of the missing requisites
Language Skills
A knowledge of English at least at B2 level of the Common European Framework is required.
This requirement is considered to be automatically verified if you obtained your Bachelor’s degree at this University and passed an English language test at B2 level.
Alternatively, during the preparation assessment procedure, you must upload:
- A self-certification issued by your University explicitly stating your B2 level, if you achieved this level during your Bachelor’s Degree.
- One of the certificates listed in the AICLU list.
If you do not have an adequate certified level, you can still acquire the required competences after enrolment through the University Language Centre (CLA).
Procedure
- Register for the assessment:
Access the Online Student Service (Esse3) and follow this path: Menu > Home > Admission Test (programmed access and master’s degrees)- Select the Test (Competition) for this programme and upload the following completed documents in the Attachments section:
- A valid ID document (front and back)
- A self-declaration of your qualification, including completed exams (not a certificate)
- The self-assessment questionnaire in Excel format, available at the bottom of this page
- Language certification, if required by the course
- Select the Test (Competition) for this programme and upload the following completed documents in the Attachments section:
- Verification of Preparation: follow the methods described in the dedicated section
- Wait for the verification result: you will receive the result by email. If you are admitted, proceed as outlined in the Online Procedure (Esse3) section.
You can proceed with enrollment only after completing the assessment of your preparation and receiving confirmation of admission by e-mail from Admissions Office.

Within deadlines
Access the Online Student Service (Esse3)
- Start the procedure for enrolment applications
Menu > Home > Enrolment
- Complete the required fields and upload the necessary documents:
- Supplementary enrolment form (at the bottom of this page)
- Valid identity document in PDF format (front and back)
- If you log in using SPID, this will not be required
- Passport-sized photo in JPEG format, NO SELFIES (refer to the requirements)
- Language certification (if required): to be uploaded in the “Specific forms for the degree programme” section.
- Residence permit or proof of application (for non-EU citizens only)
- Tax code certificate issued by the Italian Revenue Agency (for non-EU citizens only).
- Pay the first instalment of university fees. This confirms your pre-enrolment.
Within 2 working days of payment, the university's digital services will be activated, limited to Microsoft Teams, to enable access to lectures.
- Wait for the confirmation email
Within a few days, you will receive an email confirming your enrolment. Your student number will then be visible in your Reserved Area on Esse3.
Within two working days of receiving confirmation of your enrolment, you will have full access to the University's digital services (including your institutional email account and the MyUniTS app).
- If you have yet to obtain the required qualification
If you have not yet obtained the qualification required for admission:
- start anyway the Enrolment Process
- submit additional documentation: include a self-declaration listing completed and pending exams and your curriculum studiorum, if applicable.
- pay the first instalment of tuition fees:
This will allow you to attend lectures and access Digital Teaching resources. Upon obtaining your degree, you must re-enter the online procedure, enter the missing details and promptly inform the relevant section of the Admissions Office via email.
Your enrolment will be finalised, and you will receive your matriculation number only after providing all required documentation.
