Why choose this course?
This Course uses an interdisciplinary approach to cover key topics in materials and chemical engineering, namely, the design, development and optimal selection of materials and processes as well as their performance and applications. Students can choose from three specialised curriculums: nanotechnology and biotechnology, sustainability, modern industry.

Educational objectives
We train the materials and chemical engineers of the future by providing students with a deep knowledge of the scientific foundations of materials and chemical engineering as well as the professional skills required to tackle complex problems and propose innovative solutions in the modern industry – with a focus on sustainability and nano- and biotechnologies.

Career prospects
Our graduates become product or process engineers, researchers, or work in various other roles including: managerial positions in industries for the production and processing of materials, substances and energy; industrial laboratories; chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries; research centres.

Final examination and degree
Graduates obtain a master’s degree (EQF 7) which attests to the skills acquired by the student, valid at national level and also recognised at an international level. The final mark is given out of 110. The final examination consists of a defence of an original thesis before a board of examiners.
