Curricular requirements

To enrol in this programme, you must meet the following requirements:

• A degree in Information Engineering (L-8), Industrial Engineering (L-9) or equivalent qualifications under Ministerial Decree 509/99 or 270/04.
  • If you have a foreign qualification, consult the information dedicated to International Students to verify the validity of your qualification and the specific entry requirements.
• A given amount of CFU earned in the following Academic Disciplines (SSD):
  • 36 CFU in ING-IND/31, ING-IND/32, ING-IND/33, ING-INF/04, ING-INF/07
  • 9 CFU in ING-INF/04
     

Language preparation

You must demonstrate proficiency in a European Union language other than Italian, both written and spoken, at least at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

If you have yet to obtain the required qualification

If you have not yet obtained the qualification required for admission:

1. start anyway the Enrolment Process
2. submit additional documentation: include a self-declaration listing completed and pending exams and your curriculum studiorum, if applicable.
3. pay the first instalment of tuition fees:

This will allow you to attend lectures and access Digital Teaching resources. Upon obtaining your degree, you must re-enter the online procedure, enter the missing details and promptly inform the relevant section of the Admissions Office via email.

Your enrolment will be finalised, and you will receive your matriculation number only after providing all required documentation.

There are 2 admission requirement verification and subsequent enrolment windows, depending on the date the degree granting access to the course is obtained.
You can submit the enrolment application only after completing the requirement verification process and receiving a confirmation email.

Enrolment Deadlines for A.Y. 2024/2025

• 1st window – For graduates by 15 November 2024:
  • Submission of evaluation request: from 3 June to 15 November 2024
  • Enrolment: by 20 December 2024
• 2nd window – For graduates between 16 November 2024 and 28 March 2025:
  • Submission of evaluation request: from 7 January to 14 February 2025
  • Enrolment: by 31 March 2025

If you miss the first enrolment deadline of 20 December 2024, you may still enrol by 31 March 2025. However, a late enrolment fee will apply as outlined in the Fees Notice.

Assessment

The assessment of your preparation is automatically confirmed if you meet the curricular requirements and your degree grade is greater than or equal to 90/110.

If you meet the requirements but have a degree grade lower than 90/110, an assessment will be carried out by a Commission of lecturers. The Commission will verify the adequacy of your personal preparation through an interview and/or a written test aimed at assessing your basic knowledge of electrical energy and systems engineering, in order to admit you to the Master's programme.

You will also have to undergo the verification of preparation if some curricular requirements are not fully met. Typical cases include graduates with a foreign qualification, those with a degree other than the specified ones, and cases where disciplinary content has been acquired through related SSD courses. In this case, the Commission may establish a different entry pathway and/or additional training activities to be completed before enrolment or at the beginning of the course.
 

Language skills

A knowledge of a European Union language other than Italian at least at B2 level of the Common European Framework is automatically verified if you obtained your Bachelor’s Degree at this University.

Alternatively, during the preparation assessment procedure, you must upload:

• A self-certification issued by your University explicitly stating your B2 level, if you achieved this level during your Bachelor’s Degree.
• One of the certificates listed in the AICLU list.

If you do not have an adequate certified level, you can still acquire the required competences after enrolment through the University Language Centre (CLA).

Procedure

1. Register for the assessment:
   Access the Online Student Service (Esse3) and follow this path: Menu > Home > Admission Test (programmed access and master’s degrees)
   • Select the Test (Competition) for this programme and upload the following completed documents in the Attachments section:
     • A valid ID document (front and back)
     • A self-declaration of your qualification, including completed exams (not a certificate)
     • The self-assessment questionnaire in Excel format, available at the bottom of this page
        
2. Verification of Preparation: follow the methods described in the dedicated section
    
3. Wait for the verification result: you will receive the result by email. If you are admitted, proceed as outlined in the Online Procedure (Esse3) section.

Enrolment

Within deadlines

Access the Online Student Service (Esse3)

1. Start the procedure for enrolment applications
   Menu > Home > Enrolment
    
2. Complete the required fields and upload the necessary documents:
   • Valid identity document in PDF format (front and back)
     If you log in using SPID, this will not be required
   • Supplementary enrolment form (at the bottom of this page)
   • Passport-sized photo in JPEG format, NO SELFIES (refer to the requirements)
   • Residence permit or proof of application (for non-EU citizens only)
      
3. Pay the first instalment of university fees. This confirms your pre-enrolment.
   Within 2 working days of payment, the university's digital services will be activated, limited to Microsoft Teams, to enable access to lectures.
    
4. Wait for the confirmation email
   Within a few days, you will receive an email confirming your enrolment. Your student number will then be visible in your Reserved Area on Esse3.
   Within two working days of receiving confirmation of your enrolment, you will have full access to the University's digital services (including your institutional email account and the MyUniTS app).
