Educational objectives
Graduates are health professionals who are experts in the prevention and containment of infectious diseases (including through vaccinations), in the prevention of addiction, cardiovascular diseases and chronic diseases and in the design of health promotion campaigns in families, in the workplace and in schools.

Career prospects
Graduates can work as employees or free-lancers in the national health service (mainly in the following departments: general and cardiovascular prevention, addiction, sports medicine) as well as in family health centres, private companies, institutes and foundations.

Final examination and degree
Graduates obtain a bachelor’s degree (EQF 6) which certifies the skills acquired by the student. The final mark is given out of 110. The final exam consists of the defence of a short theoretical or experimental thesis written under the guidance of a supervisor on issues related to prevention, education and promotion of human health.
