Knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate knowledge of the history of the dental hygienist profession and the major ministerial legislative decrees of the profession. The student must demonstrate the general knowledge of the code of ethics of the profession. The student will have to demonstrate knowledge of the main methods of relationship with public and private organizations, as well as the organization of the private studio. The student will have to demonstrate to know the main ways of working the professional figure and know how to distinguish them. The student will also have to demonstrate knowledge of the main levels and means of communication, as well as to know the main operating protocols of his field of activity. The student will have to demonstrate in general knowledge of the principles of ergonomics applied to the workplace.
Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will have to be able to recognize and interpret the major ministerial decrees that have described the professional history of dental hygienist.
The student must be able to recognize and describe the main differences between professional and subordinate work, also demonstrating knowing about and communicating with the main public and private bodies.
The student should be able to implement the main operating protocols of the dental hygienist's work, also demonstrating that he can communicate correctly with the patient and all the figures of the dental practice.
The student must be able to understand an invoice or a professional contract.
Making judgment
At the end of the course, the student will have to be able to discriminate between the various protocols in relation to the goals to be achieved and to deal with the principal public and private bodies of the dental hygienist's professional life.
Communication Skills
At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate that he is able to expose the notions acquired with the correct terminology.
Learning Skills
At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate that he is able to find and learn independently all the information related to his professional sphere, both in terms of ergonomics and organization.
To properly follow the course content, the student must not have any particular knowledge except those in the dental field.

Classroom lessons.
There is no other information.
Verification of the results will be done by oral examination with open questions of general concern on the various topics covered, in
answer which the student will have to answer with the correct terminology.
The student will also be confronted with the need to interpret individual cases / situations and know how to make the right decisions to implement the right organizational and ergonomic protocols.
During the calendar year, at least four oral exam sessions will take place.
This course explores topics closely related to one or more goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs)
