- Knowledge and understanding
The teaching is aimed at providing knowledge and understanding of the main physiological conditions of women, both in pregnancy and in other phases of life, with the objective of completing the preparation of the nurse in the maternal-infant field.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
The teaching aims to increase the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to concrete situations, in order to address and solve the increasingly numerous, articulated and complex problems, both general and specific, that the nurse is called upon to manage on a daily basis in a maternal-infant context. At the end of the course, the learner should be able to
Apply the learned theoretical concepts related to the reception, management and satisfaction of the needs of a midwife patient.
- Autonomy of judgement
The teaching also aims to promote the learner's autonomy of judgement, encouraging a critical, but constructive and proactive approach to the whole training course and the individual topics covered.
- Communication skills
The teaching aims to develop communication skills through constant interaction between lecturer and learners, and between the learners themselves, both in the concrete application of the proposed teaching methods and during individual reception times. This approach is aimed at preparing the student to interface effectively with the obstetric patient.
