At the end of the course, students will demonstrate knowledge of: the parameters analyzed by the complete blood count and standard urinalysis; the laboratory tests used in the routine diagnosis of hematological diseases; the main markers of liver and kidney function; the main indicators of lipid profile and glucose metabolism; and the markers of myocardial necrosis.

Propedeutic knowledges in biology, biochemistry and genetics.

Laboratory evaluation of hematopoiesis. Complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), standard urinalysis, necrosis markers, liver function markers, and lipid profile.
