Laboratory activities aim to develop and consolidate vocational skills to ensure safe and best practice-based care before their application in real clinical settings. These activities include:
- Simulation laboratories for the development of technical skills and competence in performing complex procedures;
- Simulation laboratories for the development of relational skills, aimed at acquiring knowledge and abilities in relationship and communication practices, focusing on supportive interaction and therapeutic education;
- High-fidelity simulation laboratories in realistic environments with appropriate materials, designed for complex clinical-care situations. These sessions aim to practise the application of clinical-diagnostic reasoning and the nursing process, develop critical thinking, enhance decision-making skills, apply communication abilities, and foster teamwork through interaction with students from other degree courses.
