TOLC-S
To enrol in the course, applicants must verify their knowledge through the TOLC-S (Online Test by CISIA – Economics), a mandatory, non-selective test administered by CISIA (Inter-University Consortium for Integrated Access Systems).
Structure of the TOLC-S
The test is divided into 4 sections:
- Mathematics
- Logical Reasoning and Problem-Solving
- Reading Comprehension
- Basic Sciences
In addition to the TOLC-S, the TOLC-I or TOLC-E tests are also considered valid if taken at the University of Trieste or other universities, during either the early or autumn sessions.
Who must take the TOLC?
The TOLC is mandatory for all applicants submitting an enrolment application.
Even if you are transferring from another degree course in a different Department of UniTS, you must undergo the verification procedures unless you can demonstrate that you have already passed a suitable assessment at your previous academic structure.
Consequences of an insufficient score
- The TOLC-S and TOLC-I tests are considered passed with a minimum score of 18 points
- The TOLC-E test is considered passed with a minimum score of 14 points
If your score is below the required threshold or if you fail to take the TOLC, you will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA). These requirements are designed to help you address any gaps before starting your academic journey.
