The Study Plan must be modified in any case within the deadlines set for its submission and follows different procedures depending on your specific situation:
- Adding elective courses (TAF D) not listed in the online procedure
To choose TAF D courses different from those proposed by Esse3, follow these steps:
- Submit the Study Plan online by selecting from the available courses in the list.
- Request the modification by sending the Substitution Form, completed as indicated on the form, to the Careers Office.
- Modifying the Study Plan submitted in the current academic year
- If you have not yet registered for any exams for the courses you want to replace:
Access the Online Student Service (Esse3) and modify the Study Plan yourself. - If you have already registered for an exam for the courses you want to replace:
Contact the Careers Office.

- Modifying the Study Plan submitted in previous academic years
To modify a Study Plan submitted in previous academic years, follow these steps:
- Check your transcript to ensure the Study Plan for the academic year 2024/25 is uploaded.
- Print, complete, and sign the Study Plan Variation Form available in the Online Student Service (Esse3) under the section Certificates and Study Plan Variation.
- If you are a non-EU student, ensure you have sent your residence permit to the Careers Office to access the form.
- Check the course list for the course codes and credits (CFUs) of the courses you want to include.
- Send the completed form as a PDF to the email address of the Careers Office from your institutional email account.
Stamp Duty
A stamp duty is required only for modifications to exams in TAF A, B, and C educational activities. The cost of the stamp duty (€16.00) will be charged to your Online Student Service (Esse3) account after your modification request is received.
