All first-year students enrolled in the programme are required to take a compulsory test to assess their basic knowledge, which takes place in October. The test is not selective and does not prevent admission to the programme. You are exempt from taking the test if you already hold a degree.
The test consists of multiple-choice questions, with two-thirds covering mathematics topics (algebra, equations, systems of equations, functions, trigonometry and logic) and one-third covering physics topics (physical quantities, dimensional analysis, units of measurement, description and properties of simple motions, Archimedes' principle and force analysis). Each question has four possible answers, only one of which is correct.
If the test shows significant gaps in your basic preparation, you will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA), which must be fulfilled by the end of the first year of the programme.
The schedule and details of the test will be published in September.
