The Course

  • Why choose this course?

    This is the only Course in statistics in the FVG region. It focusses on statistics, mathematics and IT applied to the corporate, financial and insurance sectors. Students acquire operational and methodological skills, thanks to a solid foundation and various internship opportunities in companies and public bodies.

  • Educational objectives

    The Course is multidisciplinary in nature with a special emphasis on mathematical, statistical and computer skills needed in the corporate, financial and insurance sectors. Graduates can use advanced statistical techniques and methodologies for the management of complex problems in these areas and the quantitative analysis of economic and social phenomena.

  • Career prospects

    Graduates in Statistics and Information Technology for Business, Finance and Insurance have various career prospects in public and private bodies, statistical offices and research centres as statistical technicians, data analysts, financial and insurance risk experts. Graduates can also continue their studies in statistics, actuarial science, and data science.

  • Final examination and degree

    Graduates obtain a bachelor’s degree (EQF 6) which certifies the skills acquired by the student, valid in Italy and recognised at an international level. The final mark is given out of 110. The final examination consists of writing a short thesis on a topic consistent with the course programme which is then defended in front of a board of examiners.
