Knowledge and understanding: mastering the different parts of space missions. Applying knowledge and understanding: using acquired knowledge to design a space mission. Making judgements: assessing how to choose between different solutions and managing the complexity of a space mission. Communication skills: organizing space mission analysis into a proposal. Learning skills: collaborating in a group and understanding new conditions.
Physics and mathematics teachings of bachelor degree courses.

Panoramica sulle missioni spaziali.
Lectures and laboratory activities (software and hardware).
Other supporting information will be provided in the course of teaching. Any change to the procedures described herein, that may become necessary due to any emergency situation, will be communicated by the teachers.
The assessment is made of a group space mission proposal and an individual interview. The mission proposal is prepared as a group and goes through a revision phase with the lecturer: it revolves around the analyses which are required to demonstrate the feasibility of a space mission. The other test is oral and practical: it concerns the topics covered in class, with application of the software and exercises used in the laboratory. The final evaluation will take into account both tests The evaluation criteria are based on knowledge of the different systems of a space mission, starting with mission analysis, the ability to choose between different, even complex, space mission design solutions, and finally the ability to collaborate in a team and to know how to work in new conditions. The exam may be held in Italian or English, at the student's choice.
