An Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is a pathway assigned to you if, during an entrance test or initial assessment, you do not achieve the minimum score required in a specific subject area or fail to meet certain prerequisites for your study programme. Its purpose is to help you address any gaps and better prepare for your academic journey.
If you have not completed your Additional Educational Requirements (OFA) within the first year of your degree course, you can temporarily enrol in the second year, but you will only be able to take your second-year exams if you have completed your OFA within the set deadline.
If you do not pass the OFA within the set deadline, you will be enrolled as a first-year student in a supplementary year. This means that you will not be able to attend any second-year courses and therefore you will not be allowed to sit any second-year exams.
How to Fulfil the OFA Requirement
If you did not achieve the minimum score in the admission test of:
- 7 points in the Biology test
- 5 points in the Chemistry test
- 4 points in the Physics and Mathematics test
You will need to fulfil the OFA requirement through personalised recovery plans arranged under the responsibility of the instructor and/or by attending specific remedial courses, including online courses, at the programme’s discretion.
The OFA is automatically considered fulfilled once you pass the assessment exam of the first-year integrated course that includes the evaluated module(s). If you do not fulfil the OFA requirement, you will be enrolled as a part-time student in the following academic year.
