The academic calendar refers to the periods during which classes and their respective exams take place. For other deadlines, please consult the dedicated sections of the website.

Class schedule

Classes are held across two semesters:

  • First semester: from 23/09/2024  to 20/12/2024
  • Second semester: from 03/03/2025 to 30/05/2025
  • Breaks and closures:
    • Classes are suspended on 01/11/2024
    • Christmas holiday closure: from 23/12/2024 to 06/01/2025 
    • Classes are suspended on 25/04/2025
    • Easter holiday closure: from 18/04/2025 to 22/04/2025
    • Classes are suspended from 01/05/2025 to 02/05/2025

Preparatory courses

Mathematics

Before the official start of classes in September, the Department offers a preparatory course covering typical topics from secondary school programmes, which are useful for understanding the subjects taught during the first year of your studies.

The preparatory course for the academic year 2024/2025 does not require registration and will take place from 09/09/2024 to 20/09/2024 from 9 AM to 1 PM. The course will be held:

  • On 9, 10, 12 and 18 September in Room H, Building C1
  • On 11, 13, 16, 17, 19 and 20 September in Room 1A, Building H3

 

Introduction to programming

For this programme, a preliminary Introduction to programming course for first-year students will be held from 09/09/2024 to 21/09/2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The course will take place as follows:

  • 9 September: room 3A of building H2bis
  • 10, 11 and 12 September: Nettuno IT lab of building C1
  • 13 September: room 1D of building D
  • 16 September: room 4_INF/01 of building D
  • 17, 18, 19 and 20 September: in room 3A of building H2bis

Warning

Class schedules and locations (complete with maps) can be consulted online and are published no later than two weeks before the start of classes:

  • For the 1st semester: from mid-September
  • For the 2nd semester: from mid-February
