Tutoring

Tutoring for DEAMS Students

Do you need help navigating university life? DEAMS offers a tutoring service run by more experienced students who are ready to support you in choosing your study plan, organising class schedules, contacting professors, and much more.

The tutors are selected from the top students of the Economics, Business, and Mathematical-Statistical degree programmes. They also work to improve the Department’s services by collecting feedback and suggestions from students.

The Three Types of Tutors

1. Orientation Tutors

These tutors help you find the information you need and act as a bridge between students, professors, and administrative staff. They offer support with:

  • Study plans and class schedules
  • International mobility and international students
  • Orientation events and transversal skills

2. Student Well-being and Disability/DSA Office Relations Tutors

If you are facing difficulties in your university journey, you can reach out to a tutor specialising in psychological well-being and inclusion. You will be able to discuss, confidentially, topics such as:

  • University life and study methods
  • Exam anxiety and stress management
  • Approaching the job market

3. Academic Tutors

If you need study support, academic tutors can help you better understand exam subjects. You can book a meeting for:

  • Clarifications on mathematical demonstrations
  • Further explanations on exercises and exam materials
