The activity described in this section is closely linked to the preparation of the thesis and represents its starting point. Before conducting the experimental research necessary to obtain the degree, students are required to carry out a bibliographic research activity, which corresponds to 6 CFU.

The thesis supervisor is also responsible for the internship. At the end of the internship, you will have to present the results to a co-examiner chosen by your supervisor.
 

Where to carry out the internship

You can carry out your internship:

• at the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences,
• in another department of the university,
• in external organisations or companies.

If you choose an external company, you will also have a company supervisor, who will act as your co-supervisor for the thesis
.

What to do before starting the internship

Since the internship and thesis are connected, there are no specific forms to start the internship. However, you must submit the thesis supervisor selection form at least 5 months before the expected graduation date.

To start an internship linked to an external thesis project, after identifying the internship tutors, send the form to didattica.df@units.it at least 8 months before the expected graduation date. In this case, you must also submit the same documents required for curricular internships in the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
 

What to do after completing the internship

The internship must be completed within 60 days from the submission of the thesis initiation request. At the end of the internship, you will need to attend an interview with the co-examiner, who will inform the Coordinator of the successful completion of the activity.
