The course aims to teach the basics of plastic surgery and the correct approach to the pathologies it treats. The student is expected to demonstrate basic knowledge of plastic surgery techniques, an understanding of the healing mechanisms underlying types of reconstruction and their application in the clinical setting. The student must demonstrate the ability to use the acquired knowledge by reasoning according to the logic of the discipline.
In particular, the student must:
1)have the knowledge and ability to understand the basic theory of plastic and reconstructive surgery
2)have knowledge and understanding of the basic techniques of plastic and reconstructive surgery
3)autonomy of judgement and discrimination of the various pathologies inherent in plastic and reconstructive surgery
4)communication skills to relate to fellow patients
5)ability to learn the techniques and theory of plastic and reconstructive surgery
To attend this course, with advantages, the student must have the basic knowledge of histology, anatomy, physiology and pathology.

Lectures will be implemented with didactic videos on plastic and reconstructive surgery and dedicated ppts.

The assessment of the achievement of the course objectives includes a final practical test.
Sufficient competence in the execution of the required treatment will be considered with the judgement of Passed, if not sufficient the student will receive the judgement of Failed.
