Is part of:
To develop good diagnostic skills, and a proper terapeutic path along the craniomaxillofacial district
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: at the end of the course, students will have to know and understand the main issues of pathology and maxillofacial surgical clinic.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: at the end of the course students will have to demonstrate knowledge and ability to understand the concepts and fundamental principles on which maxillofacial surgery is based, recognize specific cases and apply concepts to diagnoses and treatments.
MAKING JUDGMENTS: at the end of the course students must be able to collect and interpret clinically relevant data by providing appropriate clinical judgments.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: at the end of the course, students must be able to communicate information, ideas and solutions to clinical problems to colleagues, patients, auxiliary staff.
LEARNING SKILLS : At the end of the course, students must apply the minimum knowledge, skills and competences described in the syllabus and demonstrate a sufficient degree of autonomy in learning the updates.
To meet good anatomical, phisiological and pathological knowings about the craniomaxillofacial district

Clinical cases
Written examination The student’s assessment consists of a written exam consisting of 31 multiple choice questions, covering the whole program, one of which is correct, to be held on Moodle platform in 30 minutes. The exam is to be considered passed when the correct answers were greater than 17. 31 correct answers allow the vote of 30 with praise. The written is corrected instantly and the vote is visible immediately.
The evaluation grid adopted is the following:
- Excellent (30 - 30 cum laude): excellent knowledge of the subjects, excellent language skills,
excellent analytical skills; the student is able to brilliantly apply the knowledge
theory to concrete cases.
- Very good (27 - 29): good knowledge of the subjects, remarkable language proficiency,
good analytical skills; the student is able to correctly apply the knowledge
theory to concrete cases.
- Good (24-26): good knowledge of the main topics, good command of the language; him/her
student shows an adequate ability to apply theoretical knowledge to concrete cases.
- Satisfactory (21-23): the student does not show full command of the topics
main subjects of teaching, while possessing the fundamental knowledge; it shows anyway
satisfactory command of the language and sufficient ability to apply theoretical knowledge a
concrete cases.
- Sufficient (18-20): minimum knowledge of the main topics of teaching and of the
technical language, limited ability to adequately apply theoretical knowledge to cases
concrete.
- Insufficient: the student does not have an acceptable knowledge of the contents of the
different program topics.
The exam mark is expressed in thirtieth. To receive thirty and praise all 31 questions must have received the correct answer. In the case of partial tests, the student, in order to pass the exam related to the teaching, must obtain an assessment 18 in each of the partial tests, will not be able to refuse the outcome of the partial test, but only the grade of the entire integrated Course and, in that case, it shall repeat all the partial tests. The Student must register for the online exam of the partial test on ESSE3. The vote of the partial test is valid until the extraordinary session of the academic year of reference.
3.4 During the course some of the main topics indicated in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will be touched: spreading the importance of primary and secondary prevention through the exposure of the population to environmental and anthropic risk factors, the importance of healthy lifestyles by strengthening primary and secondary prevention systems.
