An Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is a pathway assigned to you if, during an entrance test or initial assessment, you do not achieve the minimum score required in a specific subject area or fail to meet certain prerequisites for your study programme. Its purpose is to help you address any gaps and better prepare for your academic journey.
If you do not fulfil the OFA by the end of the first year, you will still be allowed to enrol in the second year, but you will not be permitted to take the corresponding exams until the requirements are met.
How to fulfil the OFA
If your score in the TOLC-I is lower than 18 points, you can fulfil the Additional Learning Obligations (OFA) by passing in the 1st year, either:
- The Geometry exam
- The Calculus I exam
You are exempted from the OFA if:
- you have already passed an exam in Calculus or Geometry during a previous university career that was not ended due to withdrawal or lapse
- during your final year of secondary school, you attended a preparatory course in basic Mathematics and passed the associated exam, provided that this course is also recognised as valid for the same purposes by other universities
